Guests from Consulate General of Canada paid a visit to R&D Center

On August 20, 2008, some distinguished guests from Consulate General of Canada paid a visit to Guangdong Nortel R&D Center; the guests are Mr. Richard Bale, Director of North Asia Commercial Relations, DFAIT, Mr. David Bostwick, Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner, Ms. Cathy Yao, Trade Commissioner.

David Chavez, Lab Director, GDNT R&D Center and Rick Li, Wimax Leader ,GDNT R&D Center, both welcomed the guests. Introduced by David, the Canada officer understood GDNT's overview, and the investment situation of Nortel in China. As a very important part of Nortel’s R&D system, Labs in China including GDNT R&D and Beijing area has become Nortel’s second biggest business R&D base. As a important part of Nortel global research, GDNT R&D centre are sharing these high new technology and effectively push its research.

Then, Accompanied by David and Rick, the guests had a tour to the Captive Office and Data Center Mr. Richard Bale appraised the modernization of GDNT R&D new centre, the excellent R&D ability. And they wish Nortel will be better and better in China.
