John Holding visited Guangdong Nortel

On June 24 and 25, Guangdong Nortel hosted John Holding, who is HR VP of Nortel Asia and GDNT Board of director. Henry So, GDNT Managing Director warmly welcomed John’s visit with Hong Zhao, Di Yang, Wei Wei, Sam Wong and Jessie Li of GDNT top management team at Shunde factory site.

In the management review session, Henry So introduced GDNT’s updated operations, including organizational structure, GDNT mission and the major achievements GDNT made in recent years. Each function leaders presented functional business target and the operating status of Y08. John Holding affirmed the achievements GDNT has made. During the meeting, John Holding and GDNT’s top management team conducted effective discussions about how to well utilize GDNT’s advantages, to improve its core competitiveness, and how to expand company’s business scope to better create more business earnings. In addition, John Holding visited the workshop and was impressive by GDNT’s factory management model such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Morrow, accompanied with Jessie Li, HR director of GDNT, John Holding visited new R&D Lab of GDNT in Tianhe district, Guangzhou. Spenser Williams, GDNT R&D Lab director reviewed R&D overview and some challenges R&D confronted. John Holding highly appraised R&D centre’s research and development circumstance, excellent R&D performance, reputation and contribution in Nortel’s R&D field. John Holding also visited GDNT’s GNTS office which locates in Guangzhou Haiyun building and reviewed GNTS’s operating status with Hong-Chi To, the leader of GNTS of GDNT.

It is believed that the trip could help John Holding have deeper understanding about GDNT. On the meanwhile, the discussions with John Holding could assist GDNT top management team in planning well GDNT’s further strategic development.
